Movie Review - Barfii...

Movie: Barfii
Directed: Anurag Basu
Produced: Ronnie Screwvala/Siddharth Roy Kapoor
Story: Anurag Basu
Cast: Ranbir Kapoor/Priyanka Chopra/Ileana D'Cruz

BARFII - Not every barfi tastes good and this is one such presentation. More of an Indian version of a Charlie Chaplin movie; the film does not elevate the character out of Barfii, than it does from his soulmate/polemate Jhilmil. Yet again, the director goes with the same story line... triangular love with the partners dying at the end (remember Gangster, Kites!!!). But the movie definitely will have a shower of filmfare nominations - Best Female Debut, Best Supporting Actor Male, Best Actor Male and Best Actor Female; and RK can win the award, again unconvincingly though. The name 'Jhilmil' would have suited the movie better. Not so sure why Piggy Chops hair and attire are chopped; but her performance comes out on top with appreciable support from the new comer Ileana. Titles of two novels written by Ravinder Singh, are confirmed with the character 'Barfii' who can say - "Yes... I Too Had A Love Story" and "Can Love Happen Twice? - Yes"... and I say, this movie worth watching! - Yes... on the big screen! - Your take.

Fact about a Pact...

Hi Friends,
Greetings...

One more 9/11 fact, about a pact - I won the bet made at the age of 13 in 1995 with a friend, by crossing 30 without the need of spectacles and assistance to my eye-sight with still better vision and hope to continue for long. For now, I have the victory in this game (of bet) and my friend has victory in the name. I guess, we are even... Well, where-ever you are, my best wishes are always with you my friend and thanks for making me more responsible to take care of my eye-sight with such a foresight, to avoid four-sight... :) All the very best and take care. Ofcourse.... 'Sarvendriyaanaam nayanam pradhaanam'.

Wish all the humans to have a good vision existing and envisaging... :)

With best wishes,
Kanth.

Movie Review - Raaz 3...

Movie: Raaz 3
Directed: Vikram Bhatt
Produced: Mahesh Bhatt/Mukesh Bhatt
Story: Shagufta Rafique
Cast: Emraan Hashmi/Bipasha Basu/Esha Gupta

Raaz (3) Three - Worth watching Free. The Director seems to be on a horror movie making spree and his mind seems to be a dried up tree with nothing more to offer except three-X (is it why Raaz-3!?) scenes and freaking shrieks. What a COCKroachy idea Sirjee? As for performances; Bipasha sweeps (literally with body) the honors and Emraan Hashmi/Kissme does his French man role better. Esha Gupta, resembling one more Esha (Koppikar), does well freaking out and shrieking loud (well, no further scope). A clown would not frighten and such an effort would not brighten. Hope, the Bhatt camp realizes the Raaz of success soon.

New Activity to Start...

Hi Friends,
Greetings...

Of-late my friends, well wishers wanted my review comments on movies which are put on Facebook wall, to be captured in blog for consolidation and reference. Though, my comments are purely my reactions and perceptions, short in length and not that of great interest; for friends - anything possible... :) Since, my success is their success and their happiness is mine. "Jo mera hai woh tera hai... jo tera hai woh mera..."
Ofcourse, I use an Airtel mobile connection... :)

So, on this day (when a life started 3 decades ago) starts one more activity from me... 'Movie Reviews - From Kanth, With Love...'

All the best and take care...
-Kanth.
