Movie Review - Manam...

Movie: Manam (Telugu)
Directed: Vikram Kumar
Produced: Akkineni Family
Story: Vikram Kumar/Harshavardhan
Music: Anoop Rubens
Cast: Akkineni Nageswara Rao/Akkineni Nagarjuna/Akkineni Naga Chaitanya/Sriya Saran/Samantha/Akhil

Manam (English: Us) - A family movie involving actors from three generations of one family, is a movie to watch for generations to come. Nice story, good screenplay and some great performances make it worth a watch. Could have impressed more with appropriate dialect, accent and expressions of Sriya in flashback part, more apt and expressive performance from Chaitanya and more focus on songs & music. However, it is definitely a treat overall with appreciable cameos from 'A' stars (Amitabh, Amala & Akhil) along with lead actors from 'A' Family (Akkineni), a starry family affair/fair of entertainment. And interpretation of 'I LOVE U' as 'ILA IVVU' (Giving/Sharing/Gifting) definitely fits the bill and this movie, worth the bill - The Final act of Mr.ANR and the Formal intro of Nag.JNR (Akhil)...

Movie Review - X-Men: Days of Future Past...

Movie: X-Men: Days of Future Past (English)
Directed: Bryan Singer
Produced: Lauren Donner/Bryan Singer/Simon Kinberg/Hutch Parker
Story: Simon Kinberg/Matthew Vaughn/Jane Goldman
Based on: 'Days of Future Past' by Marvel Comics
Music: John Ottman
Cast: Hugh Jackman/James McAvoy/Michael Fassbender/Jennifer Lawrence/Ellen Page/Halle Berry/Anna Paquin

X-Men: Days of Future Past - A sequel to 'X-Men: First Class' movie and encompassing all other stories of this series till now, this story of fiddling between past and future might not appease the present audience completely. But for some scenes with technical brilliance such as a 'slo-mo' by 'Quick-Silver' and depiction of past in 'Brownie-Colour' and multi-directional portals; this movie seems a shadow of its glorious past and skeptical future. A story not so captivating where history is maligned with terminated 'JFK' being termed as a Mutant and super-natural minds talking blatant and characters shown as emotionally blinded; this movie lacks conviction and contemplation, the series is known for. With a sequel named as 'Apocalypse' announced for this; hope the X-Men regain the fame, a little stained by this film. Well, 'Hope' is the 'Power Above All' as stated by 'X' in this movie.
