Movie Review - Om Namo Venkatesaya...

Movie: Om Namo Venkatesaya (Telugu)
Directed: K Raghavendra Rao
Produced: A Mahesh Reddy
Story: JK Bharavi
Based on: Saint Hathiram Baba
Music: MM Keeravani
Cast: Akkineni Nagarjuna/Saurabh Raj Jain/Anushka Shetty/Pragya Jaiswal/Vimala Raman/Asmitha Karnani/Sai Kumar/Rao Ramesh/Brahmanandam/Sampath Raj/Jagapathi Babu/Sameer

Om Namo Venkatesaya - A devotional movie with unwanted notional scenes, songs, script and senior actors. Clearly not a top notch and not memorable to pouch. Absolutely uncalled for to show fooling people, burglary, kidnapping and corruption as existing even some hundred years back especially at the holy places where GOD himself paid visits and played dice. Such creativity and screenplay do not go down nice. And then those unnecessary romantic duets to show case the mark of fruit and navel; do not bode well and makes the audience feel "why the hell". Such efforts should not be a medium for a story to sell and do not seem complete worth of money to shell. Hope this rings a bell and the makers start to dwell. As for performances, Nag fits fine into the lead character's role again and the new bloke as the Lord seems a good find. That is it to wind (conclude).

Movie Review - Kaabil...

Movie: Kaabil (Hindi)
Directed: Sanjay Gupta
Produced: Rakesh Roshan
Story: Sanjay Masoom/Vijay Kumar Mishra
Music: Rajesh Roshan
Cast: Hrithik Roshan/Yami Gautam/Ronit Roy/Rohit Roy/Narendra Jha/Girish Kulkarni/Suresh Menon

Kaabil (Eligible) - A simple and unexaggerated screenplay of a revenge story albeit of a differently abled person whose only aim, has been to be an eligible partner of his similarly challenged wife, which gets changed due to unfortunate circumstances leaving him all alone and to rise from being forlorn. Hrithik, again in an unconventional character, delivers a punchy performance. Yami has been yummy in her role, but needs to evolve to shed the newcomer tag now. Real life Roy brothers did well as the reel life baddie brothers. Not much twists and turns in executing the payback plans by the Hero, except for a concealed climax amidst sorrow. The makers did borrow the concept but made out of it, an eligible Zorro with complementing songs and capable harrow. Watch it today or tomorrow, for it is worth of spent Euro.
