Movie Review - Bhaag Milkha Bhaag...

Movie: Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Hindi)
Directed: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra
Produced: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures (ROMP)/Viacom 18
Story: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra/Prasoon Joshi
Music: Shankar/Ehsaan/Loy
Cast: Farhan Akhtar/Divya Dutta/Pawan Malhotra/Yograj Singh/Prakash Raj/Sonam Kapoor

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag - To start with; this film is not a mirror of Mr.Milkha Singh's life, it is an interpretation of his life. This is the statement from the film-makers and this would probably act as a disclaimer, since the film is largely (mis)interpreted to make it look more commercial than classical. A man with illicit childhood, teenage infatuation, uncontrolled adolescence, inadmissible innocence and unconquered demons from the past; could not run fast to make his country proud on the biggest stage, forgoing three attempts at the possible age. The Director (also being the captain and pilot!), failed to impress yet again with so much hype; but a movie with 'nothing great as such' type. To appreciate; the efforts of Farhan Akhtar for his acting as the 'Flying Singh' and body building, should fetch him a filmfare nomination. But for sheer performance; more than a nomination should be for Divya Dutta and Pawan Malhotra for their supporting roles. A movie to be garnered with awards for sure on technical aspects; but on aesthetics, 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' does not make the Director Bedaag (Stainless).

Movie Review - Despicable Me 2...

Movie: Despicable Me 2 (English)
Directed: Pierre Coffin/Chris Renaud
Produced: Chris Meledandri/Janet Healy
Story: Cinco Paul/Ken Daurio
Music: Pharrell Williams/Heitor Pereira
Cast: Steve Carell/Miranda Cosgrove/Dana Gaier/Elsie Fisher/Kristen Wiig

Despicable Me 2 - Desperate me too, to watch it and definitely worth it. The GRU-SUM is awesome again with those mini-bursts of laughter through out from Minions in Millions and the cute relationship between the cutie daughters and fatty father, coupled with a 'Wilde' mother this time; is priceless. Absolutely applaudable animation and in-despicable direction; from lipstick to lip-lock acts and great 3D affects. A perfect outing for the family with children and also for the child in everyone; hit the theatres and enjoy the fun... come on run. Tadaa...
