Movie Review - Gulabo Sitabo...

          Gulabo Sitabo - There is a dialog in this movie between the two lead actors; "Jitna mil raha hai utne mein khush raho, warna yeh bhi nahi milega... (Whatever is being given be happy with it, else that too will be gone)" and that aptly sums up this movie's result. Good that it got released on OTT (Over the top) platform and made some money, else it would have been a dud in theatres. Amitabh as a 78 year old greedy person and Ayushmann as a past by marriage age needy tenant, did well with their characters. Rest all, "kuch keh nahi sakte... (cannot say certainly)" as every other character has been shown as a person with loose character (including the two lead characters) which is neither colorful (Gulabo) nor cool (Sitabo). May be it gets name and fame for the make-up artists and the script writers who worked on the film. Other than that, not much dough left in it to make a bread out of it. It might be a satirical take on current realities in the society, but not a theatrical cake to feast on. No icing (cooling is null) and no cherry (coloring is dull). Gulabo Gul (off) aur/and Sitabo Chit (lost).

ఆలి - అసలు సిసలు బాహుబలి...

కారు కోసం పోరు పెడతారు
బంగారం కోసం గారం చేస్తారు
అక్షయ తృతీయ దాకా ఎందుకు
అక్కయ్య అత్తయ్య దరినుంటే చాలు
అనుకున్నదే తడవు అవుతారు తయారు
వద్దంటే విసుర్లు ఇప్పుడు కాదంటే కోపాలు
ఆడవాళ్ళు ఏడనున్నా బహుబాగా ఆడువాళ్ళు
మగరాయుళ్ళు నాయుళ్ళు పేరుకే బాహుబలులు...
తమ పని పంతం నెగ్గించుకునే నేర్పరులు
ఎక్కడా తగ్గని గొప్పవాళ్ళు సివంగులు ఆడవాళ్ళు...
