Nishabdham (Silence) - For long, I thought my silence would be a better review of this film. But then, silence is not always gold as with the case of this film and truth to be told. An ensemble cast, an extra cost, a prologue of past... alas, the effect does not last. Few things difficult to contemplate; which character is fault with, deaf and mute person driving car normally, the not so smart investigation team, spoilsport screenplay and why the plot in US!? May be inspired by 'The silence of the lambs', but turned out to be the 'silence' of lames. It probably exposes the struggle of lead actress (whose sizeable opportunities nearing zero after the experimental size-zero), with a harsh lesson learnt about effect of hormones and human anatomy. Anjali is unconvincing, Shalini is shallow and Avasarala is unnecessary. Both Mad-ones (Madhavan and Madsen) as bad-ones, did well in their scope; but the rest does not give good hope. This silence, definitely not being followed by a storm to any of the cast and crew in it. Certainly, a mute/moot effort.
