Penguin - A movie made in the mould of 'Kahaani' but far from its impact. In 'Kahaani' the lead actress portrays as a pregnant woman in the story but not one; in 'Penguin' the lead actress plays the role of a pregnant woman but does not seem one. With seven months pregnancy; she does sit-ups, running, trekking, climbs stairs in the movie as if she is acting with a prosthetic part. Apart from the 'Mahanati' rest of the cast is less known and have less screen presence. Even the story is not gripping and gets diluted with the lengthy 'One question & One answer' game sequence which ends with the lead actress saying 'I do not know...', which exactly would be her response probably on why she chose to do this movie. It would be harsh on children and being released on OTT, it might need Parental guidance/elders' discretion while viewing. Neither thrilling nor chilling but for some brutal killing. The lead actress fails to entertain as Penguin, the antagonist falls flat as Chaplin and the film fades off with no win.
