Movie Review - Jersey...

Movie: Jersey (Telugu)

Jersey - As for the taking goes, this movie takes the audience through a journey down the memory lane where many would connect their past with; be it 'love'ly moments, career defining moments, early days of parenthood, enjoying Cricket; all on one ticket. Nani has been his usual self and Sathyaraj has been a rock support with rest of the cast delivering the needful. The game of Cricket has been covered good especially that of two and three decades earlier. And exactly why is the question that arises here; as to why it took for a journalist whose articles get published in Sportstar magazine; more than two decades to publish a book on a uniquely talented Cricketer; who despite knowing that his life would be cost and might leave his wife and seven year old son to struggle for living all alone; goes to play another First Class Season of Cricket at the age of 36 after a decade long gap in career, only because he has been allegedly suspended from his Government Job on the charges of corruption and with no earning for more than two years. With a tagline "It's never too late to dream...", it could be justified, but seems very late recognition for such a champion of sport whose family already migrated to another country to make a living. Nevertheless, a good story of Jersey, of a Cricketer who lived gutsy; only the fortune did not shower mercy.
