Gautamiputra Satakarni - A treat to watch albeit with more and repetitive war scenes, but that is the main context of the movie, winning a war that is; for the sake of staying united, staying bonded, staying together and staying alert to save and serve our country/motherland. It has been rightly depicted in the movie with an emphasis on respect and recognition to a mother. A great effort by two Krishnas (Hero & Director) and subtle performances by the two leading ladies. Visual effects are at par, screenplay has been very effective, narration has been crisp and dialogues are straight and sharp. Righteously written script and the adaptation has been apt. The cast showcased skills adept and certainly a laudable attempt. But for some technical misses and less focused makeup and costumes; for once, this century seems better than hundred and fifty; with an effort put in which is nifty. "Saho Satakarni..."
