Movie Review - Dil Dhadakne Do...

Movie: Dil Dhadakne Do (Hindi)
Directed: Zoya Akhtar
Produced: Ritesh Sidhwani/Farhan Akhtar
Story: Reema Kagti/Zoya Akhtar
Music: Shankar/Ehsaan/Loy
Cast: Anil Kapoor/Shefali Shah/Priyanka Chopra/Ranveer Singh/Anushka Sharma/Rahul Bose/Farhan Akhtar/Ridhima Sood/Zarina Wahab

Dil Dhadakne Do (Let the Heart Beat) - A family on loose control goes on a cruise control with none of the characters seeming with right attitude and approach towards life. Neither Son, nor Daughter... neither Husband, nor wife. A film thoroughly appreciable for such a cast, goes on not very fast; with people dwelling on both future and past, from the start till the last; not caring for the present. Yet the movie provides some enjoyable moments with an intermittent feel good factor and laudable performance by Ranveer, the actor. Though the script tries to explain living as a human through the character of a canine; it fails to recognize, why humans way of living is distinct than from the extinct. And the climax plays the spoil sport as such a ship drowns near the port. It tried to touch upon relations in life and priorities and choices to make at right time, but cried foul in screenplay and turns sour lime. During the course of this cruise sailing, the heart beats to various emotions passing and failing. Up to audience to strike the right chord; either to alight or to aboard.
