Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra (Sky is your
limit) - A story about real life events, eventually less inspiring due to
commercial and controversial elements. Suriya as a performer is top notch, but
this film became a botch. It raises questions on the integrity of DGCA, a
country president who is biased to nativity, a defense person not being
respected and cared, and an ugly face of competition in aviation. Setting up an Airlines
is shown as if making a paper flight, with songs and dance more in the
highlight and screenplay not being that tight. It also fails to capture the after
effects of setting up the economic airlines and its timeline after take-off.
Well and truly, the event was ground-breaking; but it was found wanting in the
making. No effort is small, however, setting up an airlines is incomparable to
putting up a bakery. And this film had been, almost close to being a mockery. Sky
was the limit, but the makers settled for much less of it. An Odyssey missing
its silver lining on the silver screen.
